Mossburn Vintage Casks Linkwood 2007 10 Year Old (75cl, 46%)

This Linkwood is a single-distillery whisky from Elgin in Speyside, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2017 at ten years old. Mossburn Distillers & Blenders bottled it at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. Matured in refill barrels, it keeps the oak to a spicy backnote behind a delicate, floral spirit. The nose is floral, with white flowers, lemongrass and a little white pepper over fresh malt. On the palate come crystallised fruit, barley sugar and honeyed citrus, with gentle peppery oak at the edges. The finish is soft and warming, with sweet barley and fading florals.
