Mountaineer Blend of Straight Bourbon is a small-batch Kentucky bourbon made at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort. It marries bourbons aged 8 and 12 years and is bottled at 48.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey rests in charred American oak barrels and pours a deep amber.
The nose offers toasted oak, caramel and warm vanilla. On the palate come caramel and toasted oak with gentle baking spice and a touch of sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with a mellow hint of vanilla and oak.
