This is a 14-year-old single malt from Glentauchers in Speyside, bottled by Murray McDavid in its Benchmark range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 57.1% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The spirit was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2023, after a finish in a first-fill oloroso sherry cask. The outturn was 262 bottles.
The nose is chocolate cookies and creamy dried fruit. On the palate there is sweet spice, candied nuts and sultanas, and the finish brings malt, orange zest and lingering oak.
