Murray McDavid was founded by London wine merchants Mark Reynier and Simon Coughlin, together with Gordon Wright of Springbank Distillery. The company quickly gained a name for maturing whisky in interesting casks, especially fine wine casks. Its home today is Coleburn Distillery in Speyside.
