This Teaninich single malt is part of Murray McDavid's Cask Craft series, a collection that explores how different wood finishes shape a single malt. Teaninich is a Highland distillery, built in 1817 by Captain Munro. The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
For this release, Dean Jode, Murray McDavid's Head of Whisky Creations, finished the spirit in a heavily peated Caol Ila cask. The company describes the result as a smoky, coastal character with gentle, sweet and fruity notes.
