Myken Arctic Single Malt Whisky Sea Mist 4 Year Old - Bourbon & Pineau Casks (70cl, 47%)

Sea Mist is a four-year-old single malt from Myken Distillery in Norway, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It matured for four years and eleven months, is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. It is made from peated and unpeated barley. Most of it matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak, with a small share from ex-Pineau des Charentes casks that adds sweetness to a maritime, savoury character. On the nose come ripe pear, light malt and caramel beneath a delicate veil of smoke. The palate brings salty sea notes, marked smoke, full malt and camphor-like spice. The finish is long and peppery, with soft malt and smoke.
