Myken Ocean Heart Arctic Island Single Malt 6 Year Old Bourbon Casks (70cl, 47%)

Ocean Heart is the first core whisky from Myken Destillerie, a Norwegian distillery on the small island of Myken. It is a single malt aged for six years and two months, made with two thirds Norwegian barley that first became available in 2019. Part of the whisky was given a further six to twelve months in smaller casks of sherry and bourbon wood. It is bottled at 47% without chill-filtering or added colour. The nose has vanilla, citrus and fresh fruit with a light sea-salt breeze. On the palate, creamy caramel meets a touch of salt and gentle pepper. The finish is long and peppery.
