Na Sia 7 Years Evolved American Rye Single Cask Unpeated – Isle of Raasay

Na Sia 7 Years Evolved is an unpeated single cask single malt from Isle of Raasay Distillery, part of its Na Sia 'Through The Ages' series. The whisky spent seven years in a single ex-American rye whiskey cask. It is bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour, as a limited release from individually numbered casks. Without peat smoke, the rye cask influence comes through in vanilla, honey, orchard fruits and warming spice, in a rich, full-bodied style that keeps a maritime freshness. The nose is honey, vanilla pod, fresh apples and baking spices. The palate has rich malt, toffee, rye spice and black pepper, and the finish is long, with lingering sweetness, oak spice and vanilla.
