Nagahama Distillery – Amahagan World Blended Whisky Summer Edition 2016 (75cl, 47%)

Amahagan World Blended Whisky Summer Edition 2016 is a Japanese blend from Nagahama Distillery, in a 75cl bottle at 47% ABV. It combines malt whiskies from around the world with spirit made at the Nagahama distillery itself. It has a light gold colour. The nose recalls sea breeze and a beach, with salted caramel, brown sugar and briny notes, while peaty smoke adds an accent throughout. On the palate come vanilla, honey, white chocolate and baked lemon pie, with a gentle malty, cereal character and a salty note like salted chocolate later on. The finish brings pepper and cacao, then smoky peat.
