A sherry cask edition of Amahagan World Malt from Nagahama Distillery, made in collaboration with the Kabukiza theatre in Ginza, Tokyo. It is a limited release, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle.
The palate moves from sweet to dry, with a slight smoky and salty edge, bitter chocolate and a hint of prune. The attack is powerful, with wild spice kept delicate, and fresh citrus appears with time.
The finish opens strongly, then settles into a smooth, relaxed aftertaste, with a fresh woody aroma and mild milk chocolate.
