Nagahama Distillery – Amahagan World Malt Whisky Edition No.2 Red Wine Wood Finish (70cl, 47%)

Amahagan World Malt Whisky Edition No.2 comes from Nagahama Distillery and is finished in red wine wood. It is bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle, and won a gold medal at the World Whisky Awards in 2020. Its colour is a reddish, glossy brick. The red wine influence brings raisins and berries, alongside the malt character of Nagahama. The nose is malt sweetness with ripe dried fruit, raisin and red berry. The palate is sweet and deep, ending in the bitterness of silky tannins. The finish is medium, with cinnamon and pepper spice and a touch of orange peel.
