Nagahama Distillery – Roman Blended Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Nagahama Roman is a Japanese blended malt whisky bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and sold in a box. Nagahama Distillery was founded in 2016 on the shore of Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, and is the smallest distillery in the country. While its own stocks build up, the distillery imports whisky from Scotland. Its master blender selected the whisky on visits to Scottish distilleries, then blended and matured it at Nagahama. The nose is fresh, with chocolate, orange peel, tropical fruits and herbs. The palate has white peach, cotton candy and caramel, sweet yet fresh, and the finish is long and gentle.
