Nagahama Single Malt Hogshead Sherry Cask #0001 is a single cask Japanese malt whisky from the Nagahama distillery, released in November 2020 in a run of 362 bottles. It was matured for just over three years in an Oloroso sherry hogshead and is bottled at 54.2% in a 50cl bottle.
On the nose come dried fruits, maple syrup, raisins, sugared almonds and a hint of vanilla. The palate brings stewed fruits, red berries and oaky spices, and the long finish stays with oak and spice.
