This is a single-barrel straight bourbon from Nashville Barrel Company, the independent bottler founded in Nashville in 2018 by Mike Hinds and James Davenport. Distilled in Tennessee, it spent twenty years in charred American white oak before being bottled at barrel strength, 61.26% ABV, non-chill filtered, in a 75cl bottle. It is a Collaborative Bottling from barrel #1439, and the oldest release the company has put out. The company's own rule is that nothing leaves under five years old. The nose offers aged oak, leather, dark caramel and tobacco leaf. The palate brings toffee, dark fruit, roasted pecan, vanilla bean and clove, followed by a long finish of oak, char and caramelised sugar.
