Nashville Barrel Company Small Batch Rye Batch 2

This is a small-batch rye from Nashville Barrel Company, labelled Batch 2 and described as a duet of ryes. It combines two runs of Indiana rye, from barrels aged four years and eight years, and uses a 95/5 rye recipe. The batch is fewer than 15,000 bottles. The nose is caramel apple, sweet-tart notes and honey. On the palate come key lime pie, bursts of citrus and apple. The finish carries a tobacco note that coats the mouth, with Granny Smith apple that lingers.
