Nassif Family Reserve is a sourced American whiskey blend from Cat's Eye Distillery in Bettendorf, Iowa, bottled at 53.5% ABV (107 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It began as the whiskey that co-founder Gene Nassif blended for his own wedding. Batch No. 3 combines 50% 14-year-old light whiskey from MGP with 50% bourye, the producer's name for a 36%-rye bourbon and a 95%-rye distillate aged together in new oak for 3 years and 10 months. The nose is vanilla and butterscotch with a little citrus and cream. The palate brings vanilla, toffee and a hint of clove, and the finish is warm, with lingering sweet heat.
