A Barbera d'Alba from Piedmont made by Natale Verga, a winery run by the same family for four generations. The nose shows intense aromas of blackcurrant, ripe cherries and a hint of mild spices. The palate is full, fresh and fruity, with lively acidity and generous red berry notes, leading to a silky texture and a long, refined finish.
It is suggested with autumn dishes such as pasta with rich sauces, grilled meat and stews, and with Christmas dinner. Serve at about 18°C in large glasses.
