This is the fifth release in the Quiet Rebels series from Nc'Nean, a single malt in a 70cl bottle. The series celebrates the people behind the distillery, and this edition was made by one of its distillers, Simon, in partnership with Innis & Gunn.
The whisky was first aged in shaved, toasted and re-charred red wine casks, then finished in stout casks from Innis & Gunn. Those stout barrels had previously held Nc'Nean.
The tasting notes describe chocolate brioche, coffee fudge cake and cherry jam.
