Nebbiolo Langhe DOC - Francesco Versio

Nebbiolo Langhe DOC from Francesco Versio is a Piedmontese red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Langhe. It has an intense ruby red colour with slight garnet reflections from ageing. The nose is complex, with red fruit such as cherry and strawberry, floral notes of violet and rose, and hints of spice, tobacco and a light leather note. On the palate it is elegant and well balanced, with fine, well-integrated tannins, notable persistence and a harmonious finish. It matures in oak barrels, adding complexity and depth, and suits Piedmontese dishes such as braised meats, roasts and aged cheeses.
