Nelson Bros. Sherry Cask Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

Nelson Bros. Sherry Cask is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys finished in oloroso sherry casks, part of the Cask Finish Series. It is bottled at 50% (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Select barrels of Nelson Brothers bourbon go into the oloroso casks for the final stage of ageing. Oloroso is a dry Spanish wine known for a nutty flavour with hints of toffee, caramel and dried fruit, and it adds sweet notes of brown sugar, vanilla and raisins. The nose brings wedding cake, black cherries and leather. The palate shows brown sugar, plum and cola, and the finish of amaretto, oak and crème brûlée is long and warm.
