A red wine from Geophora made from Nero d'Avola, expressing the Mediterranean character of the grape. Intense ruby with violet hints and good consistency in the glass. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, black pepper and balsamic notes. The body is balanced, with present but smooth tannins and acidity that keeps the wine flowing and pleasant. It pairs with rustic Italian dishes such as meat sauces, roasts and semi-hard cheeses. Serve around 16-18 C; light decanting may open the bouquet.
