New Era 'Conflict of Character' is an 8 year old double oaked Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at a cask strength of 58.8% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It comes from New Era Whiskey & Social Club and was selected by Pacific Edge from barrel 273.
The bourbon is made from Buffalo Trace and Wild Turkey mashbills, which gives the BuffTurkey name, and was finished in a second oak barrel. The label artwork plays on the idea of good set against evil.
The notes describe deep charred oak, caramelised banana and vanilla bean on the nose. The palate offers bold toffee, toasted marshmallow, cinnamon and dark chocolate, and the finish is long and warming with sweet oak, nutmeg and smoky caramel.
