New Era 'Frankenfurt' is an 8 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from the New Era Whiskey & Social Club series (Edition XLVI, Volume LV), selected by Pacific Edge. It is bottled at cask strength, 56.4% ABV (112.8 proof), in a 75cl bottle.
The name BuffTurkey refers to the blend of bourbon components from Buffalo Trace and Wild Turkey. After eight years the bourbon was finished in a second oak barrel, and the label shows a monster-themed creature.
The nose offers roasted hazelnuts, baked cinnamon apples and campfire toffee. The palate has maple-soaked oak, toasted spice, fig preserves and hints of espresso, leading to a warm, oaky finish with long vanilla and clove.
