A bottled-in-bond straight bourbon from New Holland Brewing Company in Holland, Michigan, at 100 proof (50% ABV). It is distilled on a prohibition-era pot still from a mashbill of 70% corn, 25% malted barley and 5% rye, and fermented with brewer's yeast. It was aged for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse.
The nose has caramelised sugar, toasted oak, vanilla bean and butterscotch, with a little dark fruit and light campfire smoke. The palate brings toffee, malted grain, roasted almond, vanilla cream and baking spice, then charred oak and leather. The finish is long and warming, with baked sugar, charred grain and oaky tannin.
