New Riff 6 Year Old is a Kentucky straight malted rye whiskey, bottled in bond and without chill filtration. It is made from 100% malted rye, which brings a more polished, subtle spice than the distillery's standard 95% rye.
The nose is savoury and floral, with powdered sugar, balanced oak and vanilla, and fruit notes of plum skin and pear. The palate is plump and rounded, with finely dovetailed spices, saltwater taffy, clove and a toasty, malty note. The finish is focused, with clove and pink peppercorn.
