This is the 2026 Silver Grove release from New Riff, a 6 year old barrel proof Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle at 58.2% ABV. It is bottled without chill filtration.
It is the first release under this label to be aged for at least six years. The blend was built around barrels chosen for flavours the distillery does not usually find in its 4 and 6 year old bourbon, which sets it apart from earlier Silver Grove releases.
The nose is apple blossom and orchard fruit, the palate apple fritter and candy apple with gentle baking spice, and the finish pecan and caramelised apple.
Tasting Notes
Bright apple blossom and orchard fruits, hints of apple brandy and baked apple
Medium-bodied and smooth, apple fritter and candy apple, subtle baking spice
Lingering pecan and caramelised apple, warm and orchard-like
