New Riff Bottled-in-Bond 6 Year Old is a rye whiskey from the New Riff distillery in Newport, Kentucky, made entirely from malted rye grain. It is bottled at 100 proof and is non-chill-filtered. Six years in new charred American oak make it the oldest expression in the distillery's standard range. New Riff describes it as a malted whiskey first and a rye whiskey second. The official tasting note finds a plump, medium-full palate of finely dovetailed spices, saltwater taffy, fruit, clove and a toasty, malty note, followed by a focused finish of clove and pink peppercorn.
