This is the core bourbon from New Riff Distilling, bottled in bond and without chill filtration. The mash bill is non-GMO grain: 65% corn, 30% rye and 5% malted barley. It spent four years in 53-gallon toasted and charred new oak barrels.
The nose is butterscotch turning to fresh oak, with vanilla and rye spice. The palate is broad and full, with vanilla sweetness and then rye spices of clove, cinnamon, mint and dark berry. The finish is long and led by rye, with brambly red and black fruits, white pepper and clove.
