A single barrel Kentucky straight rye from New Riff Distilling, aged for four years in 53-gallon toasted and charred new oak barrels. It is bottled at barrel proof without chill filtration.
The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted rye, making it a 100% rye whiskey. Each barrel has been tasted and approved by the distillery's production panel.
The nose balances nougat with black pepper, clove, grains of paradise and pink peppercorn. The palate is broad, with sweet, spicy and savoury notes that develop into floral rose and red fruit. The finish is of fine length, with rye spice that lingers.
