Niigata Kameda – OHTANI Whisky No.2 Capricorn

OHTANI Whisky No.2 Capricorn is a Japanese single malt from the Niigata Kameda distillery and the second release in the Zodiac Sign Series. It is made from peated malt and matured mainly in first-fill bourbon casks, with a share of sherry casks added to the mix. The nose brings smoke, plum, vanilla, apple and muscatel. On the palate come dried figs, ginger, nuts, dark chocolate and a fine minerality, and the long finish joins gentle peat smoke with a pleasant sweetness.
