Nikka Coffey Gin is a Japanese gin from the house behind Nikka From the Barrel and Nikka Days whiskies, bottled at 47% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from a blend of 11 botanicals. Four are Japanese citruses: yuzu, kabosu, amanatsu and shequasar. Juniper, coriander and lemon and orange peels complete the blend.
The aroma is zesty, and the texture oily with a gentle warmth. Citrus comes through beside earthy juniper, and a slight peppery spice appears towards the finish.
