Nikka Coffey Grain is a Japanese whisky made from a variety of grains, including maize, and distilled in Coffey stills. These stills were originally designed by Aeneas Coffey in the nineteenth century.
It is bottled at 45% ABV and is light amber in colour.
The nose combines vanilla, ripe fruit and sweet spice. The palate has the sweetness of grain, with caramel, toffee and a light trace of citrus, leading to a long, pleasantly sweet finish.
