Nikka Coffey Grain is a Japanese whisky made in Coffey stills at the Miyagikyo distillery, with malted barley as its base. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The name refers to the type of still, not to coffee.
The nose is tinned peach, tropical fruit, baked banana and coconut. The palate is silky, with light vanilla sweetness, chocolate, biscuity oak and orange blossom honey. The finish carries baking spice and a touch of honeyed citrus.
