Nikka Coffey Malt is a Japanese whisky bottled at 45%. It is made from 100 percent malted barley, but distilled in Coffey stills, which are normally used for grain whisky.
Because of this method it is categorised as a grain whisky. Maturation is mainly in old American oak casks. It is described as surprisingly full-bodied and creamy.
