Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky (75cl, 45%)

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky is a Japanese whisky from Miyagikyo Distillery, made from 100% malted barley but distilled in a Coffey continuous still rather than a pot still. That makes it a grain whisky by classification, despite the all-malt grain bill. Nikka developed it in 2013. It is matured in old casks and bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The nose is richly malty, with sweet grain. The palate is silky and textured, with rich malt character, and the finish is long and malty with lingering grain sweetness.
