Nikka From the Barrel is a Japanese blended whisky bottled at cask strength, 51.4% ABV, in a 50cl bottle. It is a pre-blended whisky that goes straight to the bottle without being chill-filtered or diluted with water. The nose has buttered buns, orange peel, mint, walnut and cream caramel. The palate is powerful and lightly smoky, with pepper, oak, butter, cinnamon sugar and caramelised apple. The finish brings ripe stone fruit, oak and vanilla. It can be drunk neat or with a few drops of water.
