Nikka From The Barrel (50cl)

Nikka From The Barrel is a Japanese blended whisky in a 50cl bottle, made by combining Japanese single malt and grain whisky. The pot stills are fired directly, a hands-on method most Scottish distilleries have left behind. The distillery stands a kilometre from the sea, which is linked to the salty, lightly medicinal character of the whisky. Maturation takes place in casks made on site from young oak. The nose is balanced, with floral notes, fresh fruit and spice. The palate is full and firm, with toffee and vanilla, followed by a long, fruity finish of oak and spice.
