This is a Japanese blend from Nikka, from the 1990s, made from malt whiskies matured in sherry casks together with grain whiskies. It is bottled at 45% in a 60cl bottle and comes with its original wooden box.
On the nose there is candied apricot, oak, damp hay, caramel, honey and a little furniture polish. The palate brings sweet apricot and sweet spice, rye, macadamia and walnut, honeydew melon, oregano, thyme and ginger. The finish is medium to long, sweet and spicy, with honey, ginger, walnut and grain.
