Miyagikyo Discovery Peated is a Japanese single malt from the Miyagikyo distillery in Miyagi, in northern Japan, bottled for Nikka in a 70cl bottle. It is made mainly from peated malted barley and matured in both American and European oak. The nose pairs peat with floral and vanilla notes. The palate is full-bodied and well structured, with light fruit and spice, and delicate wood smoke and ash. The finish keeps a lingering smoky aftertaste.
