Nikka Miyagikyo Malty and Soft Distillery Exclusive (50cl, 55%)

Miyagikyo Malty and Soft is a single malt from Nikka's Miyagikyo distillery on Honshu, Japan's main island, sold as a distillery exclusive. It is bottled at 55% in a 50cl bottle. The whisky is a vatting of selected single malts chosen for a soft, malty character. Miyagikyo makes only unpeated whisky, and the bottling strength sits close to cask strength. On the nose and palate it is fresh and fruity, with green apple, pear and white grape alongside honey, malt sweetness and fine wood notes.
