Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt (70cl)

Miyagikyo is a Japanese single malt from the distillery of the same name, which belongs to Nikka Whisky. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The distillery lies among the mountains of Sendai, and the whisky draws on the clean waters of Miyagi. It is distilled slowly and matured in ex-sherry casks. The nose opens with a mineral note, moving into floral and fruity tones with hints of spice and malted barley, then beeswax and honey. The palate is fruity, with sweet spices, liquorice, tobacco and chocolate.
