Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is a Japanese single malt in a 750ml bottle at 45% ABV. It is made from whiskies of various ages and matured mainly in ex-sherry casks, with the distillery's delicate, floral character.
The nose opens with iris, malted barley, banana, liquorice and camphor, then burnt wood, ash, white flowers and beeswax. The palate is built around malted barley with herbal, liquorice, ginger, cinnamon and chocolate tones, ending with fresh tobacco leaf and coconut. The finish is long and soft, with wilted roses, lemon and grapefruit, tobacco, cardamom, toasted nuts and stewed apple and damson.
