Nikka Tailored (43%)

Nikka Tailored is a blended whisky from Japan, bottled at 43% ABV. It is built mainly from malt whiskies made at the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, combined with Coffey grain whisky. The nose is soft and round, with apple, apricot and white fruit, alongside honey, chocolate and candied orange peel. On the palate it moves between pastry-like notes of vanilla and kouglof and a bitter side of dark chocolate with mandarin and orange zest. The finish balances bitter and sweet, with lightly toasted notes.
