Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a Japanese malt whisky, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is named after Masataka Taketsuru, who founded Nikka in 1934. He learned whisky making at Longmorn and Hazelburn in Scotland and at Yamazaki in Japan, and is regarded as one of the most decisive figures in the development and success of Japanese whisky.
The whisky is described as well balanced, with notes of malt, smoke, apple and citrus fruit.
