Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt

Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a blended malt whisky named in honour of Masataka Taketsuru, regarded as the father of Japanese whisky. He learned whisky-making in Scotland and went on to produce whisky in Japan. Taketsuru believed the natural surroundings of a distillery were essential to quality, and he chose Yoichi and Miyagikyo as the sites for two distilleries. The whisky is described as having a gentle malt character, fruitiness and a well-balanced taste.
