Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt made from whiskies of the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, in a 75cl bottle. It is named after Masataka Taketsuru, known as the father of Japanese whisky.
The nose offers orchard fruits, nutmeg and a subtle smokiness. On the palate there are apple, pear and malted barley, with chocolate and coffee in the background. The finish is smooth and lingering, with a slight peppery spice.
