Taketsuru Pure Malt is a blended malt from Nikka in Japan, combining malt whiskies from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. It is named after Masataka Taketsuru, the pioneer of Japanese whisky. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in American and European oak. The nose is delicate, with dried fruit, vanilla and herbal hints, while the palate brings toasted malt, caramel and a light smokiness.
