Nikka Whisky From The Barrel (75cl, 51.4%)

Nikka Whisky From The Barrel is a Japanese blended whisky in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 51.4% ABV. First released in 1985, it combines more than 100 malt and grain whiskies from Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. After blending, the whisky is returned to used casks for three to six months so the components marry together. It comes in a short, square bottle designed to look like a small lump of whisky. The nose is cut flowers, fresh fruit, caramel, spice and a little oak. The palate is full-bodied, with winter spice, toffee, vanilla and ripe fruit, and the finish is long and warming, with fruit and oaken spice.
