Nikka Whisky From The Barrel is a Japanese blend of malt and grain whiskies, bottled at 51.4% ABV in a 50cl bottle. The aged malt and grain whiskies are married together so the blend can settle before bottling, and it is diluted only minimally.
The nose brings toasted oak, dried fruit, warm spice, caramel and a little vanilla. On the palate there is dark chocolate, peppery spice, orange peel and smoky oak, with a smooth sweetness from the grain whisky. The finish is long, warming and complex.
