Yoichi is a peated Japanese single malt from the Yoichi distillery, which Nikka Whisky regards as its flagship. It is made from malted barley alone, distilled in pot stills, and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fruity, with peach and apple, followed by a balsamic note and a salty freshness. The peat on the palate is earthy and elegant, and the finish is long on elegance.
